Sentra XE and GXE give you 126 horsepower. The 2.5 Limited Edition
delivers a potent 165 horsepower with a lightweight aluminum-alloy block
and vibration-canceling compact balancer system.
Sentra's available Anti-lock Braking System pumps the brakes up to
18 times per second, to help keep the wheels from locking up.
Sentra's they're the cleanest gas-powered vehicles in the world, receiving
partial zero-emission (PZEV) credits from the California Air Resources
Board and a SULEV (Super Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle) designation from
the EPA.
Instead of a rubber timing belt, both Sentra engines have a maintenance-free
metal chain.
The 1.8-liter engine in Sentra XE and GXE gets up to 35 miles per gallon
with a manual transmission. Over 400 miles on a tank of gas.
Platinum-tipped spark plugs let you go up to 100,000 miles before your
first tuneup.
